Oh I adore the shipping forecast too and for the very same reasons. I'm so glad you had this as one of your 'things' as now I know there are at least two of us. The picture you recently posted of your hay field was simply beautiful and made me glad I live in this country.

Hi Jane

Thanks for doing the tag thing! No wonder we got on so well - similar thoughts on psychic goings-on etc, shipping forecasts (but mine's just for childhood reminiscence purposes, and as for Enya and Clannad ... !!

Sandra

Very interesting! I love the shipping forecast -- Fitzroy, Dogger, Malin, Viking..... and it is better in the winter I agree!
As for Enya - she is just wonderful

It's funny how we share similar likes - I never even thought of writing about them until I read your blog!

I like the shipping forecast and have been known to go to the Radio 4 website to listen to it! I enjoy listening to Enya and Clannad and I think that washing dried on the line smells amazing -I want to bury my nose in it!

Thanks for sharing

I love listening to the shipping forecast on grey wintry mornings, it is very comforting to be in bed or in the kitchen! Love the smell of washing, hate ironing and am a huge Sense and Sensibility fan! Great to find out more about you.

sara, the house of charm

I hate to fold laundry and NEED the food network on while I do it, otherwise I avoid the task like the plauge.

Tracy

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog, it's so nice to meet you! And to come here and read your beautiful blog, and to read your list! It's good not know I'm not alone in loving to hear the shipping forecast--LOL! Your change of profession is fascinating! I actually love to do the ironing, as I find it a quiet, contemplative task. I do some of my best thinking while ironing! Looking forward to coming back here! Happy Day! :o)

Tash

Whilst doing the ironing I watch all of my River Cottage collection - that is not only relaxing, but it takes me back to my honeymoon when we stayed a few miles away from the original River Cottage! Happy memories. I don't actually mind ironing though, strangely enough I never have.

I'm really interested by the equine shiatsu bit - that sounds such a wonderful way to help an animal, can you apply your knowledge to other animals as well?

Have a lovely week - you're not affected by the floods are you?

Sue

By halves, Jane? No - it's all or nothing, me!!!!! I'm certainly planning on getting to Ardingly in September. REALLY need to go!!!!
