Just got home, having spent a breathtaking four days in Venice! So what was the most wonderful thing of the whole trip? Well the experience was fabulous, architecture, culture, food etc. all of which I will post loads about in the next few days but this painting, tucked away in a museum in St Marks Square by an artist of whom I had never heard of before, brought tears to my eyes and moved me in way that a painting never has - Abandonment by Luigi Nono......
What a moving picture.
Glad you a a great time look forward to hearing about your adventures.

Hi Jane,
Yes that is a very beautiful painting. Can't wait to hear more about your trip. I haven't been to Venice, but Florence is quite beautiful and I was in total awe of the paintings in the Uffizi Gallery.

Isn't it amazing that a single painting can say so much more than printed words! That is a beautiful piece of artwork! Can't wait to see more photos of your trip!
(PS - I am still working on the earrings and will let you know when I have them finished. I had to find more pale green freshwater pearls.) =)

I love this painting too. It is quite haunting, I bet you stood and looked at it for ages.
