I have been collecting blue and white china over the years and it is a real favourite of mine. Not all of these pieces are old though and some were picked up at boot fairs and a few were presents. I sometimes use the plates and tureens when friends come around to eat. I love it that nothing matches! The lady below is a 1920's posy holder, I'm waiting for the primroses in my garden to bloom so that I can make her look pretty!
Oh your 1920's posy holder is so precious!!!!! Please remember to take a picture of her, with primroses in her, this Summer.

I'm a big fan of blue & white china too. I particularly like the tureen on the far left, top shelf.

I just read your comment in my Blog... "Lovely pictures and quotes...Cheered me up today!" I'm happy that you enjoyed it and that it was cheering.
I just enlarged the picture of your Aga and showed my husband. Someday you will have to explain to me, all about an Aga. I've seen pics of them but don't really know what all the parts are. What specifically each is used for, I mean. Like, are there 3 ovens, for instance?

What a lovely collection you have! I am new to collecting, and am inspired to see what you have been able to find.

Hi Mari- Nanci
Mine is a two-oven Aga, one door ( bottom left) has the burner etc behind it. Top oven is the roasting oven and the other is the simmering oven used for casseroles etc. The two plates on the top, both of which have lids, the right hand one is the boiling plate, the other plate is not so hot. The temperature stays the same so you use the different ovens and plates to achieve the temperature that you need. Sounds complicated but is dead simple and the food is cooked beautifully as it somehow seems to seal in the flavour...

Hi,
Reading your fab blog for the first time I noticed that your blue and white display includes a card from the range that I sell. I keep spotting different ones all over which is really nice! A lovely display of co-ordinating items!
