Just had to let you all see a picture of this cushion! Isn't it just gorgeous? Not made by me I'm afraid but by a very talented lady called Shelley Cox. She is the tutor of an embroidery group that I go to once every six weeks or so. I am working on a similar one which will take me ages to complete so it won't be posted just yet. Shelley's stitching is exquisite. I did take some close-ups but they have come out quite fuzzy. If I can work out how to sort it I will post them but not sure if it is possible! Here's another patchwork that has been made into evening bag.
Shelley is a professional hand embroidery designer, teacher and needlework restorer who trained at the Royal School of Needlework.
What stunning works of art! They really do look like those wonderful Victorian pieces that can occasionally be seen at antiques fairs. She has a real talent - thanks for sharing.
Niki.

Simply beautiful!!!
Does your camera have a 'close up' setting? I seem to have pretty good luck, even with my little digital camera, with the 'close up' setting.
And on mine, there is no flash, with this setting. Which I like sometimes. Sometimes, the flash makes my picture toooooo bright, so to speak. But with the 'close up' setting, I get a more soft look... kind of like ambiance lighting is the only way I can describe it.
But each and every try at a photo, is different and unique.
