I can almost hear the latches lifting! Ours are horrid 1960s flush doors. I'm so pleased I found your blog. It's a treat to see the real thing.

I am sure that your doors look like a piece of art. You have doors like no others and I am glad you opened the door to your home for all of us to share with you.Come visit me at September Morn when you have time. Hugs.....Sharon K

All your pictures are wonderful. I must show these photos of your restored wood work, to my husband.

He has always done woodworking for a hobby. {And enjoying it even more now, in semi-retirement} And he *can't stand* to think of wood, being covered with paint! When I tell him that you rescued all this, from cream and black paint... He will love you forever. :-)

Beautiful doors...but what happens if the string snaps? Are you unable to enter your bedroom ever again??!!

Clare

Hi Jane, Ooh your doors are lovely - and Jasper looks lovely too! We have an old cottage but the doors had been replaced with modern ones when we moved in so we ripped them out and put reclaimed ones in.
