January
As a rule I'm not usually that fond of the month of January as I've always felt that it to be a bit of a nothing month with Christmas long gone. This year though it's been different and it's all been due to the beautiful colours I've been seeing in the sky. The picture above was taken from my bedroom window early one morning last week. It was the most beautiful dawn that I had seen in a very long time and the thought of it kept me uplifted all day. Isn't it strange that something like that can have such an effect?
This is another early morning and you can see the moon just behind the trees.....
This is last week when we had just a bit of water!
And finally the recent beautiful full moon rising through the trees in our back field...
Amazing huh?
yes, amazing indeed! we, too, have had some incredible skies and now that we live out in the countryside, we have such a better view of it all! lovely pics.

It's amazing what a bright dawn/early morning does isn't it. The sun was shining beautifully through the curtains yesterday morning and it certainly made me feel as if spring was on the way - although rumour has it we're in for snow at the end of the week! Hope all that water got no closer to the house!

Hi Jane,
I love the dawn photograph ~ such a beautiful sky. I never seem to see the dawn these days, as our home faces in the wrong direction and the sun is so low in the sky.
You are quite right though when you say that something like this gives you a lift for the entire day ~ we all need a bit of colour in our lives.
